Meadowfield Primary Promoting Awe and Wonder in Early Childhood

We were delighted to learn of the installation of an object filled curiosity space at Meadowfield Primary to support teaching and learning.  With the help of Leeds Revive and Household Waste sites who have provided recycled waste items, school has created an inspirational space for object based learning.

Alex Clark, Deputy Headteacher, says:

‘We have adopted the Curiosity Approach. Training has been undertaken for this and their ideal is to promote awe and wonder in early childhood. This approach relies on ‘teachable moments’ and adult and child interaction to promote questioning and personalisation.’
