Roots Alive is the City of Leeds Youth Music folk group, and frequently delivers ceilidhs (social dancing) for significant events in the community – weddings, big birthdays, anniversaries. Roots Alive continued its tradition of playing for communities celebrating the Harvest Festival.
On September 28th it was the turn of a new customer – St James Church in Bradford, and two weeks later it was an old customer – St. Mary’s Whitkirk.
A good time was had by all – experienced, novices, young and old, and they have already booked us again for next year.
Roots Alive uses the money from ceilidhs to fund important cultural exchanges, such as to Durban, South Africa, and Chemnitz in Germany. If you are interested in finding out more about Roots Alive, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org
