Meanwood Church of England Primary has been named as having some of the highest outcomes in the country when it comes to SAT results.
The Department for Education league tables of primary school performance, showing the results of this year’s National Key Stage 2 assessments, have been released.
100 per cent of pupils reached expected levels in Reading, Writing and Maths, while 31 per cent achieved a high score in reading and maths, and were found to be working at greater depth in writing - all of which ranks the school at joint 21st position of state primary schools in England.
Other local schools with high SATs outcomes were:
Corpus Christi Catholic Primary School, where 93 per cent of pupils met the expected standards and 20 per cent reached the higher standard.
Beecroft Primary School, where 91 per cent of pupils met the expected standard and 25 per cent reached the higher standard,
Tranmere Park Primary School ,where 89 per cent met the expected standard and 20 per cent higher standard and
Bramhope Primary School, where 89 per cent of pupils met the expected standard and 19 per cent met the higher standard.
