Mental Health First Aid Training (Adults)

As Wellbeing is now in the Ofsted framework, having at least one member of staff in your school trained in Mental Health First Aid contributes massively to this agenda.

Outline

Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) Adult Training is an internationally recognised training course, designed to teach adults how to spot the signs and symptoms of mental ill health and provide help on a first aid basis to other adults. MHFA teaches people how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health, different mental health issues and disorders. It also gives you the confidence to guide an adult to appropriate professional support.

Please note this training is not for adults training to support children and young people, for more information about the MHFA (Youth) training please email: schoolwellbeing@leeds.gov.uk

"Helen has such a wealth of experience which allows her to teach very effectively. I would highly recommend this course. I have learnt new skills to be able to support anyone suffering with mental health. A fabulous 2 days, get yourself booked on it!" Business Manager at Hollybush Primary School.

"A really insightful and supportive course which has given me a much greater understanding of mental health and how I can support people more effectively.
