This course is intended for all schools and settings. It will update schools on the latest developments within Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) and allow schools to update their policy to reflect this. (A model policy will be provided)
This course gives schools and settings the opportunity to review and update their Relationships and Sex Education (RSE) Policy. It will update delegates on the latest developments within this area and allow you to update your policy to reflect this.
The policy is in line with all the most relevant law and guidance, so schools can be sure they have included everything that is required.
Delegates will be given the model policy.
This is a Skype training session, if you do not have Skype for Business please download the free app as advised in the attached ‘How to Join a Skype Network’ document. You will only need to do this once but please try and do this a couple of days in advance of the Skype event). Two working days in advance of your training you will receive an email from the Leeds for Learning team with your Skype link. As long as you have Skype for Business or have downloaded the app you will simply click on this link at the appointed time to join the Skype event.
The course will provide delegates with the opportunity to:
- Explore key sections of the policy to support them with the development/review of their new policy;
- Understand how to review and update the existing policy to match the setting and needs of the individual school/setting and its pupils/students;
- Understand the latest developments within Relationships and Sex Education (RSE);
- Identify and signpost to further support available from the Health and Wellbeing Service
Health & Wellbeing SLA credit value = 1 credit Cost: £125 per delegate. Schools with a current Health & Wellbeing SLA may be entitled to pre-paid places subject to sufficient available training credits.
