Leading Learning Partnership Subject Leader Development Meetings are system led and designed to stimulate professional growth and ensure future sustainability through principles of partnership, area-based networking and capacity building. Each Subject Leader Development Meeting is planned and facilitated by the school based subject Learning and Teaching Specialist team.
Subject Leader Development Meeting priorities are responsive to national policy changes and the school improvement needs identified by network members and partnership schools’ senior leaders. Strategies developed through the networks are research based and aim to meet our ambition that all students across the partnership have access to consistently high quality teaching and learning.
An agenda for the network will be available approximately one month in advance of the meeting.
Attending the SLDM will:
- Support improved subject leadership that is well informed and responds to the implications of key local and national developments;
- Identify and explore key issues related to the leadership and management of teaching and learning;
- Share and build on effective local practice; and
- Focus on raising standards for all students and closing the achievement gap.
