The Leeds Sailing and Activity Centre is a unique facility available to schools for one off or regular visits. Operated by Leeds City Council, it is situated at Tarnfield Park, Yeadon, 8 miles from Leeds City Centre.

The Centre offers kayaking, open canoeing, improvised rafting, sailing, windsurfing, rowing, climbing, abseiling, artificial indoor caving, orienteering, off road biking, problem solving, bushcraft and team building.

Qualified, experienced instructors work with pupils from Key stage 2 and above on the activity that suite your pupils needs: 1 hour taster sessions, multi activity days and weeks, accredited awards, transition days, GCSE & BTEC groups.

We have experience working with a wide range of disabilities and have craft adapted for disability use.

Free taster sessions are available for teachers and we offer training and support for teachers to become qualified and lead their own groups.

The Centre is a Royal Yachting Association Training Centre for Dinghy Sailing, windsurfing, powerboating and shore-based theory courses. A British Canoeing approved activity provider, a British Rowing Training Centre and is licensed by The Adventure Activities Licensing Authority.?
